The Journey of Pink Gorilla is a quest. A quest to find the brightest and the best in myself and in others. When I started researching strategies for online success there were many pitfalls and stumbling blocks put in the way. Many just caused me to stub a toe, but some have caused serious delays in my journey. This blog is about my journey. It is my hope and prayer that you will be able to learn from my missteps and profit from the successes of the Journey of Pink Gorilla.
Advance Planning
Every journey begins with an idea. That idea leads to planning. That planning leads to first steps and those steps lead to more paths and those paths should eventually to your destination. The problem though is that many times we do not follow the correct path or take the right steps or even do the planning. It has become common to follow the old marketing axiom “Ready, Shoot, AIM!” In fact many people are skipping the getting ready and the aiming portion of that message.
Once an idea has begun to germinate along the path, this Pink Gorilla waters that idea and takes the time to write it out and let the creative side of the brain take over for a time. While this creative time may be boring and seem to take forever, many times this period of incubation will be the key from which strategies for online success are born.
Even though the Journey of Pink Gorilla is under way, sometimes it helps to revisit that initial planning. Reevaluate what we have and reallocate resources so that we can correct any deviations from the plan. This is an ongoing process that allows us to make course corrections and make sure we are on the correct path.
The Pink Gorilla Walks On a Swinging Bridge
The very first steps the Journey of Pink Gorilla took were strenuous. They involved stepping on a bridge that did not look safe, was high in the air and very scary. Starting an online venture can seem the very same as stepping on a swinging bridge with a rough and rocky river a thousand feet below. Every step seems worse than before but with each shaky step we gain confidence in our decision. I may not make it across the first time, but I will learn something from the steps. Just as a child learns each time they let go of the table and try to take that first step.
Balance in life and in business and in online work takes time to learn. At times, we may seem overwhelmed and that leads to procrastination and poor productivity. While at other times we cannot stop ourselves from working around the clock. Find the balance so you do not topple over the side of the rope bridge.
Pink Gorilla Strategies for Online Success
This is not a journey for the faint of heart. At times we will walk, sometimes we will crawl and many times we will run. The path is rocky and unclear but with a Pink Gorilla in the lead no one will be lost. Hang on for the Journey of Pink Gorilla and for the ride of your life!
